With over 20 years in intellectual property law including time as an attorney in private practice and as an Administrative Patent Judge (APJ) at the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB), Jeremy has significant experience in virtually every area of patent law. Jeremy’s unique background allows him to provide valuable insights for clients few others possess. Jeremy joined VHIP after 12 years as an APJ at the PTAB.

He joined the PTAB as an APJ at the start of the America Invents Act (AIA) and was involved in virtually every area of PTAB practice. His vast experience includes hundreds of AIA Trials and thousands of Ex Parte Appeals, including appeals from Reexamination proceedings. Jeremy is also well versed in obtaining patent rights for clients from his time in private practice, where he obtained hundreds of patents for clients prior to joining the PTAB.

Jeremy has extensive experience in evaluating patent rights, including patentability, validity, and freedom to practice. Before becoming an attorney, Jeremy spent 5 years as an engineer, where he focused on modeling complex systems.
