Karleigh is an intellectual property (IP) paralegal and business professional with over five years of experience in patent prosecution, international patents, and litigation.
She graduated from the University of Kansas, receiving a B.S.B. in Finance and a B.A. in French. Her coursework emphasized corporate finance, investment management, market trend analysis, risk management, and financial planning. Following her work experience at an American global financial services corporation, she transitioned into the legal profession specializing in IP.
With a background in business and finance, Karleigh brings a strategic and meticulous approach to legal support, streamlining work processes, optimizing cross-departmental communication, and adding depth and efficiency to her support in complex IP and litigation matters. Her experience includes managing international patent portfolios of life-sciences and technology companies and assisting attorneys in all phases of patent prosecution from the initial patent application filing through to issuance of a patent. She has also supported attorneys with discovery, docketing, e-discovery coordination, and trial preparation in litigation matters.
Outside of work, Karleigh is a passionate musician and performing artist. A classically trained singer, she has been a member of various choral ensembles and has performed at the prestigious Carnegie Hall. She is also a multi-instrumentalist and enjoys playing the piano, guitar, and ukulele. She believes applied music sparks creativity and instills discipline, qualities that she also brings to her career.
